Testimonials
Although the new Leopold Junior bow has not forced my classical French bows out of the violin case, I have to confess, I am surprised, how much quality you get for money.
It is a bow with first-class and stable characteristics and is well done. Absolutely worth recommendation!
I have a Leopold Violin bow. It is a really a good bow. The workmanship is excellent. It is so strong that I feel comfortable playing my 18" viola with a violin bow.
Carbon fibre is a new material. The bow makes have demonstrated that it can be used
to make very good bows. Careful handwork and judgment is necessary for a really fine bow. Although a synthetic material is used in the manufacture, human workmanship is still an important part of the bow.
I have had my viola bow for one month now, and I have become more and more pleased with it each day. It is a brilliant tool that has absolutely met all my high expectations.
It gives me a beautiful and full sound on my viola, and reacts easily and rapidly. Being an engineer and a bit snobbish, it gives me obviously also a pleasure to present a high quality bow made of a modern material to my co-players and hear their acknowledgment when they try it.
In the beginning I was sceptical for Leopold, after I have previously tried many carbon fibre bows. As a professional musician, I expect a lot from the tool I am using daily. But this bow surprised me with its superior easiness I could play with, sensitivity and precision.
What decided was also the sound it could elicit from my viola. That was the biggest difference between Leopold and the other carbon fibre bows. And that additionally it was beautifully manufactured was another plus in decision making, since the price was already good.
