For about half a year ago I decided to buy a new and better bow. While I searched the Internet, there were a lot of possibilities, but coincidently I came in contact with the Leopold bows.
At first I inclined to find some other product, because I naturally imagined a bow should be made of wood. On second thought I remembered that in my fly-fisher time I went through the same thoughts, and had experienced that formerly fine split cane fishing rods were exceeded by even better carbon fibre ones.
In the last 30 years I have been a diligent golf player, and here I have experienced exactly the same development in regards to the golf club shafts.
Therefore, with peace in my mind and with a real interest, I invested in a Leopold. Already from the beginning I was satisfied with the bow. I feel the sound is better than before, and in any case is easier to handle, and I can feel I can do much more in an acceptable way, than I could with the old bow.
I would like to express my enthusiasm for Leopold, and I appreciate it more and more.
I have been playing a Leopold for the last year and I am extremely satisfied with it. It is in my opinion a really fine bow with many qualities. Its rounded sound and swift reaction together with its fine stability makes it extremely suited for both daily exercises and use at concerts.
Moreover it resembles the traditional tree bows in the distribution of the weight and the feeling that makes it effortless to alter between two different bows. Moreover the proportion between the quality and the price is really good.
I can warmly recommend
the Leopold bow.

I’m using the Leopold in the Orchestra, maybe I don’t get the same tone quality as I do with my French bow (Claude Thomassin) but the ”feel" of the Leopold is in my opinion very much the same.
Melbourne can have four seasons in one day, which makes it very difficult with my French bow, but with Leopold it's no problem.
I recommend Leopold to anyone looking to a new bow.
